However, the cakes on offer are not just restricted to typical Spanish cakes, Spanish empanadillas, traditional Spanish pies such as the sweet and savoury Pastel Cordobés or the pastel salado, but also include a wide range of more traditionally British cakes and savouries, sausage roils, ring doughnuts, Bakewell tarts, Lemon and lime cake, Apple pie, iced cup cakes, carrot cake and even Guinness cake are all on offer in the shop.
As well as cakes, a range of practical snacks and crepes are available.
The typical Spanish breakfast (toast with oil and/or tomato, café con leche and orange juice) for three euros is perhaps the staple diet, but every day additional specials are on offer:
Everyday: Cocktails made to order from 2.50€ and french crepes from 3€
Sabores del Sur also bake a range of celebration cakes for any special occasion, including birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, presentations and will also gift wrap any of their standard cakes for those who would like to take something a little sweet away rather than eating on the premises. They also offer the option of hosting tea parties or group meetings in the café.
