The Town Hall of Lorca has announced that over 11,000 flowers are to be planted in the parks and squares of the city to brighten it up during the spring and summer, including petunias, geraniums, marigolds, begonias, lobelias and many others.
May of the plants have been grown in municipal nurseries and the intention is to make the city even more attractive for both residents and visitors as the warm weather arrives during spring. Among the places where they will be seen are the iconic locations of the Plaza de Colón, the Plaza Doña Concha Sandoval, the Óvalo and the gardens of Huerto Ruano, as well as numerous others in residential districts.
