ARCHIVED - 11th July to 24th August, summer fiestas in Santiago de la Ribera
The fiestas centre around the feast day of Santiago on 25th July
The annual fiestas in Santiago de la Ribera in honour of the patron saint of the town are theoretically held around the date of his feast day on 25th July, but in fact spread throughout most of July and August as the Mar Menor coastal area of the municipality of San Javier makes the most of the summer tourist season.
This year’s celebrations began on 7th July with the official crowning of the Queen of the fiestas and do not come to an end until 24th August, although of course the main events are in the last week of July.
