St Nicholas Ecumenical Church,Urbanisation Camposol, Mazarron
St Nicholas Church is an Ecumenical Church that welcomes all Christian denominations and nationalities. Services are held in English every Sunday, normally at 10.30am. The Church provides, Baptism, marriage blessings, funeral services, memorial services and pastoral services to the community.
When the first home owners came to Camposol, there was a shortage of many essential amenities, a church being one of them. This was changed by the hard work and dedication of one couple, Len and Rosemary Eaton. As there were so many different Christian denominations, it was decided the Ecumenical route would be best. The Church was duly registered in Spain, it has a charitable status and is governed by an elected council of church members.
Through the hard work of many the present building was bought and converted into what is now St Nicholas Church. Having a church building of course is not the end of the story, in fact it is just the beginning. The aim for the church and the members is to grow, both spiritually and to reach the wider community.
