10 bars and restaurants have been taking part in the KM-0 tapas route in Jumilla every day of the week throughout February, offering special snacks and D.O. Jumilla wines daily.
All of the bars and restaurants taking part are affiliated to the Jumilla Wine Route, and the wines offered to “taperos” during the event are supplied by 16 of the bodegas who subscribe to the route. Each dish is priced at 4 euros, including the glass of wine, and free surprise gifts awarded to lucky customers include cheeses visits to wineries, bottles of wine and wine glasses. The route continues until 29th February.
In addition, anyone visiting all ten establishments and collecting the stamp on their route maps is eligible for a prize draw in which trips to wine producing regions throughout Spain and Europe are the prizes.
On 1st March all of the establishments will take their tapas and wines out into the streets for one final event to close the route for this year, with live music, the prize draws for the completed tapas route cards, and of course, plenty of tapas and wine!
Anyone wishing to enter their cards into the prize draw can do so until midnight on the 29th February, after which the collection boxes will be gathered up for the prize draws on the 1st.
