ARCHIVED - 5th January 2020 Three Kings parade in Murcia City
ARCHIVED ARTICLE
The grand Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos begins at 18.00 on Saturday 5th January
The arrival of Baltasar, Melchor and Gaspar, the "Reyes Magos", is a huge event in the capital city of the Region of Murcia, and the parade which is held on the eve of their visits to all of the homes in the city is the largest parade in the region. The thousands of participants are easily outnumbered by the vast crowds which line the route, and tons of sweets and gifts are flung out from the floats into the crowd until the parade ends late in the evening.
Seats on the temporary stands are sold in advance on some parts of the route and the city centre is absolutely packed, so allow plenty of time to park and find a space along the processional route!
