<span style='color:#780948'>ARCHIVED</span> - Aguilas wins national sports promotion award It has been announced that the town of Águilas has been awarded the 2021 prize for being the most active municipality in Spain in terms of promoting sporting activity, and that the prize will be presented by the King and Queen of Spain on April 18 in the Palacio del Pardo in Madrid.

The announcement has been confirmed by the Mayoress of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and Councillor Cristóbal Casado, who stated that this award comes in recognition of years of hard work in attracting national and international athletes and competitions as well as base level activities in schools.

Sra Moreno expressed the Council’s pride and excitement at the announcement, as well as the thanks due to all of those who have made it possible by working to promote sports in Águilas.
