Today Andalusia announced an increase of 578 new cases
The Andalusian Health Service (SAS) has announced that it is recruiting 120 additional staff to monitor COVID-19 cases and will also set up two telephone centers to increase follow-up calls.
One hundred of the new recruits will go to healthcare centers in the different Andalusian provinces, which will support Primary Care professionals in their work to positive cases or the monitoring of people in isolation at their homes, the Ministry of Health and Families has reported.
The SAS affirms that the selection process for these professionals is concluding and their incorporation is expected to take place in the next few days.
Yesterday the region reported 202 new cases through the official national ministry and the total cases to date is 20,918, although the figures published regionally are much higher.
Today Andalusia has added 25 more hospitalizations for coronavirus in the last day, the highest rise in 24 hours in recent months, so there are currently a total of 221 patients hospitalised, of which 34 are in Intensive Care (ICU.
Andalusia has today registered one more death from coronavirus and an increase of 578 cases confirmed by PCR, the highest increase since the beginning of April, according to the accumulated data offered by the regional government.
Montalbán de Córdoba and La Rambla, also in the province of Córdoba, are the two towns in the Andalusian interior that have registered the most positives diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 14 days, with 80 and 49 cases, respectively.

The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, said today that "the pulse will not tremble" for the regional government when it comes to making all the decisions it has to adopt, "whatever they may be, however painful they may be ”, if the health situation requires it.
