ARCHIVED - 529 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours and 2 deaths in Spain on Tuesday

This brings the total number of infected during the entire pandemic to 266,194.
There have been two deaths in the last 24 hours, the same as on Monday, and the overall total for Spain has risen to 28,424.
Aragon is the region which has recorded the most new cases (187), followed by Navarra (82) and Catalonia (63).

Catalonia and Aragon account for two thirds of the cases of infections diagnosed in the last week in all of Spain. In Aragon, the cases have multiplied by four in just seven days. This Monday, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health, there were 1,664 infections in the last week, while last Monday there were 442. In Catalonia, in one week they have gone from 2,148 to almost double at 3,935. Catalonia has doubled its cases each of the last three weeks. In Spain as a whole, coronavirus cases have doubled in the last seven days.
No region of Spain has as many newcases as Catalonia in the last seven days. After that comes the Basque Country (591 cases compared to one hundred last week), the Region of Madrid (494, twice as many as seven days ago) and Andalusia (449, almost double the previous Monday).
By population, the most affected are Aragon, with 126 cases diagnosed in the last seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, Catalonia (51), Navarra (43) and the Basque Country (27). Only Galicia, Extremadura and La Rioja have better data than a week ago.
UK
Reported deaths from Covid-19 in the UK today rose to 45,422 after adding 110 in the last 24 hours. 295,817 cases have been detected to date, 445 of which were added to the total in the last 24 hours.
This makes the UK the country worst affected in Europe to date.
Worldwide
Worldwide, 199,400 new cases have been notified in the last 24 hours, bringing the global total to more than 14.7 million cases and more than 609,000 deaths according to the latest global balance figures compiled by the Johns Hopkins University in the US.
The United States itself has a balance of 3.83 million cases and 140,909 fatalities, after adding 60,400 new positives in the last 24 hours.
