Miriam Armero received an anonymous letter asking her to find a new place to live “for the good of all”
Although not habitually given to posting videos of herself on social media, supermarket worker Miriam Armero has found herself going viral after her neighbours in a Cartagena apartment block sent her an anonymous letter asking her to find another place to live "for the good of all" during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It’s not that she’s antisocial or a bad neighbour, but she works in a supermarket.
"Many people live here and we don't want more risks," said the text in the letter, slipped under her door by an anonymous neighbour on Sunday.
It was found by her ten year- old son, who reportedly started to cry when he read it, fearful that the single mother and son would be thrown out of the apartment where they live.
Miriam said on her Facebook page, where she has received many messages of support , and solidarity, that she has had to call the owner of the house in which she lives and make it clear that she will file a formal complaint if the anonymous author of the letter is not revealed.
"I work in a supermarket and I am very proud, because we are helping many people despite putting ourselves at risk," she said, "I have left another note below, clarifying that I am the neighbour in question and I will be happy to answer the complaint in person."

The regional government has set up a special helpline to supply information to members of the public (900 121212) if they suspect that they may have contracted the virus rather than going straight to hospital or to a medical centre.
