Lorca castle is open throughout the festive period.
During the festive period it's business as normal at Lorca castle and this year the castle management has organised a series of family guided tours to show the key areas of the castle which are normally closed to general visitors. The price includes general entry to the castle and the tours are in Spanish. However, you'll find information boards in dual languages and an English language audioguide is available for visitors to the castle in general.(click for Lorca castle general information)
These tours take visitors inside the Alfonsine Tower, the Aljibe grande, the archaeological area formerly occupied by the Jewish quarter and the Jewish synagogue remains which are the only synagogue in Spain never to have been re-used as a Christian place of worship following the Reconquista.
The tours are as follows:
Tuesday 24th December at 16.30.
Wednesday 25th December at 12:00.
Tuesday 31st December at 16:30.
Wednesday 1st January at 12:00.
Sunday 5th January at 16:30
Monday 6th January at 12:00

Castle opening hours: From 27th October to the 31st December:Monday to Sunday 10.30 - 17.30. The box office closes at 16.30 and the castle complex closes at 17.30.
