This asbestos-laden, industrial-style roof was added on to the top of this building when an extension was built on the back of the property. With time the asbestos had clearly worn and cracked in places due to age and movement. There were even holes in the roof that had been badly patched up, which was causing water to seep through.

original re-roofing on the property had done a rushed, cowboy job because the flat roof underneath had clearly never been sealed correctly.

To make matters worse, the lower area of the asbestos roof was being hit with huge amounts of water running off the sloping roof then sitting for long periods of time, allowing the water to soak further into all the damaged areas.

Leak Proof was able to mend all the areas using the proper sealants, and then used their specially designed two-part primer that works on asbestos. All the areas were then coated with polyurethane to help waterproof it entirely, including the area at the bottom of the sloping asbestos roof, which was completely tanked out in polyurethane to stop any future problems.

Any roofing problems can be fixed with the right tools, but it pays to do it right the first time, and Leak Proof encourages anyone who suspects they might have water leakage, seeping or roofing damage to seek help as soon as possible, before it gets any worse.
