Considered one of the most brilliant jazz musicians of his generation and one of the best young jazz pianists in the United States, Emmet Cohen heads a spectacular jazz piano trio.
His fantastic album “Dirty in Detroit”, recorded live, shows us a musician in his prime, full of inventiveness, charm and inspiration, like a 21st century Dave Brubeck, while his "Master Legacy Series" albums, recorded with living jazz legends such as Ron Carter, Benny Golson, George Coleman or Jimmy Cobb, are a link between the best of the past and the future of jazz.
A great musician leading an extraordinary trio, guaranteed to delight fans on their first visit to San Javier Jazz!
INCOGNITO
For many, Incognito are the best British soul and jazz-funk band of all time, worthy recognition for the lifelong project of Jean Paul Maunick, who has been bringing together at his side the best of acid-jazz, British soul and funk since 1981. Numerous brilliant musicians have taken part in the successive formations of the band over the last four decades, during which time they have collaborated with stars like George Benson, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Philip Bailey, George Duke, Al Jarreau and Marcus Miller.
The formation will be a twelve-strong line-up for this opening night of the 24th San Javier Jazz Festival.
