The first of the free "Jazz in the Gardens" concerts featured in the 2022 San Javier Jazz Festival is offered by the CMSJ Jazz Band in the Jardines de San Blas.
This band is one of the projects of the Conservatorio de Música de San Javier and was created 14 years ago by Antonio F. Baeza, one of the pioneers of modern and jazz music teaching in the Region of Murcia. The group travels Europe taking part in concerts and festivals and is always a mix of current Conservatorio students and those who have already graduated, some of them now working as professional musicians.
For example, this year Ángel Valdegrama, a renowned pianist with an extensive professional career, and Antonio Moreno Glaskov on trumpet, are performing alongside 12-year-old Jaime Campillo (electric guitar)!
The free concert in the Jardines de San Blas in San Javier begins at 22.30.
Season tickets and individual concerts for the main festival are available here: for the full line-up of the Festival click here or scroll down the articles below.
