Kenny Barron is a true living legend of jazz and, for many, along with Herbie Hancock and Ahmad Jamal, one of the three most important pianists still active from the “golden age”, as well as one of the main pianists of post-bop.
The list of great figures with whom he has worked is endless; Yusef Lateef, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Buddy Rich, Chet Baker, Benny Carter, Stan Getz, Stanley Turrentine and Philly Joe Jones, to name just a few.
Kenny has not come to San Javier since the 5th edition of the Festival in 2002, and he is now presenting his fantastic album “Book of Intuition”, in which the consummate master of the piano trio offers us one of the most eagerly awaited expected concerts of the 24th edition.
The concert begins at 22.30 in the open-air Auditorio Municipal with tickets priced at 20 euros. Season tickets are also available: for bookings and further information click here.
