Gill and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable about all breeds of dog, and work tirelessly with local charities and animal foundations to help treat, care for and re-house lost and abandoned dogs. This caring attitude is one of the reasons for prices being kept as competitive as possible.

Mountain View kennels and Cattery are now offering a private villa to rent for your pets. If you are worried about leaving your loving pet in the kennels or cattery. Or worried about letting a pet sitter (who you may not know well) into your property. Gill at Mountain View has the perfect solutions.
You can rent a fully self-contained villa complete with 24 hours pet carer included. Your pet will never be left alone and will be given a one to one service for the duration of their stay.
This fully furnished, private one bedroomed villa also offers a self-contained garden for your pet to play and exercise in (so you can relax knowing your pet or pets are happy and relaxed too).
At Mountain View Kennels and Cattery the health and happiness of your pets stay is their priority and Gill has recognised that some pet owners have a had a negative experience, have a nervous or unfriendly pet, or a pet with special medical needs and so some pet owners have concerns about leaving their pet in boarding.
Added to this the option of finding a reputable fulltime stay at home ‘pet sitter’ is not a good option if you do not like the idea of someone
you may not know very well staying in your property.
You can book your pet or pets together (dogs, cats, buggies and even your goldfish and hamsters !) from just a day or as long a stay as you wish and prices are very competitive.

- It is a requirement that up-to-date vaccination records be deposited at the kennels when boarders arrive, and should any emergency arise there are two vets on 24-hour call nearby in the town in Fuente Alamo.
- Dogs belonging to different owners are not housed together.
- Mountain View is fully insured and legally registered
- Special dietary needs can also be catered for and Mountain View are happy to administer any medication which might be needed.
- Vaccinations : All pets must be microchipped and fully vaccinated up to date including kennel cough flea and worm.Vaccination Books are required to stay at the establishment whilst your pet is with us.
- Vets: Any vet visits required whilst pets are with us are at the clients expense also a transport fee will be charged
- Medication: Any medication your pet requires that is administered by us will be subject to a small daily charge.
- Reservations: On booking a reservation we will require a deposit to secure your booking which is non refundable.
Any cancellations of bookings are also non refundable as the kennel/cattery has been reserved for your pet.
A fully working dog grooming parlour in on site for those wanting to get their dogs groomed and pampered.
Have your pet washed and ready upon its return from the kennel stay if you wish.
Trimming and nail clipping services are also offered.

Perhaps they do not cope well with being alone, dislike other animals, noises, objects, social behaviour and or aggression, then Gill can help and work with you and your dog to help improve your dog’s behaviour and offers her services either on the premises or through home visits to all owners of troublesome pets. 20 separate kennels are provided, each of them spacious enough for housing a family of dogs or individuals, all fully tiled and with large runs (although those belonging to different owners are never mixed).
All canine guests are encouraged to spend as much time as they like in the eight play areas, equipped with trees, shelters, tunnels and toys, returning to their own temporary homes whenever they like. Walked twice daily for 40 minutes and offered high quality food twice a day and not specifying any minimum or maximum length of stay.
The key to the success of Mountain View Kennels is that each boarder is viewed as another family pet in the extensive grounds and pens: dogs are not only housed and fed, they are offered cuddles, toys and the chance to play.
During the day they are free to roam around the eight main play areas equipped with trees, tunnels, toys and shelters, but they always have the option of returning to their own pen or kennel.
Catering to your dog’s needs.If your dog has special requirements, dietary, medical or mealtimes we are happy to include this in your individual pet schedule.
We also offer several large catteries onsite. Available with upstairs and downstairs runs. Fully tiles throughout and cool in the summer.
Large exercise play areas with tree houses, toys, shade and swings etc. No pets are mixed. Each cattery is comfortably sized for individuals and those with family group bookings.
Regular checks and comfort visits are made thought out the day and evening with litter trays being changed / cleaned when used.
Dry (complete) food and water are available all day with fresh/tinned food served twice daily.
