Louisa Chandler (S.A.C. Dip. Foot Health Practice) who runs the Mobile Foot Clinic in the Region of Murcia, is a fully qualified Foot Health Practitioner, specializing in ensuring that her customers’ legs and feet are serviced and minor ailments are recognized and treated.

Louisa has been working in the health sector since 1980, and moved to Spain in 2004 with her young family. Ever since then she has worked in the south-east of the Region of Murcia and the Costa Cálida

She is fully qualified and is listed on the UK Register of Practitioners, qualified to administer not only patient care but also scalpel skills, First Aid and specific treatments.

A Foot Health Practitioner undertakes the practical role of keeping people’s feet healthy and giving advice on day-to-day foot care.  

In this role the FHP performs the routine work necessary to maintain healthy feet, including nail trimming and the treatment of skin conditions. These tasks are not complex but unfortunately as we get older it often becomes harder to reach our feet properly in order to perform them, and many prefer to enlist the services of a professional.

Other conditions treated include heel pain, corns, calluses, cracked heels, verrucae, blisters, nail trimming, athlete’s foot, in-growing toenails (without invasive surgery), diabetic related foot conditions and fungal infections including fungal thickened nails. General advice regarding foot care and footwear is also given, and bio-mechanic assessments for insoles can be undertaken.  

In an effort to provide a service to as many people as possible, Louisa not only works closely with local charities such as MABS and Help Mar Menor but also offers treatment both at clinics in the Mar Menor area and during home visits. She covers the entire Mar Menor area, including the towns of Pilar de la Horadada, La Torre de la Horadada, San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, Los Alcázares and the southern Mar Menor, and also travels inland to Torre Pacheco, towards the city of Murcia and throughout the rest of the Region of Murcia. This places all of the Costa Cálida golf resorts within her catchment area.

Louisa is also a qualified reflexologist, and can supply therapeutic foot massages.

A session of treatment and advice normally costs between 25€ and 35€, but the final rate charged will often depend on how far she is required to travel to patients’ homes.
