Don’t put those umbrellas away just yet as we are in for some more wet weather this week
Murcia weather warnings, Tuesday March 11
We are by no means done with the rain in Murcia. After last week’s torrential downpours, the weather forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) for this week ahead is for more wet, windy and thundery conditions.
For Monday March 10, the coastline of the Region of Murcia is once again under a yellow warning for strong winds of up to 50-60kmh and waves as high as 2-3 metres, which will be active from 3pm until midnight. All the same, this Monday should be fairly dry for most, with sunny spells forecast amid the cloud cover and rain showers forecast only for the central-northern part of the Region, around Caravaca and Cieza, for a brief period in the afternoon.

Tuesday 11 is a very different story, with rain forecast almost everywhere starting first thing in the morning and becoming heavier and stormier towards the afternoon, when large thunderstorms are possible in pretty much the entire Region of Murcia. Once again, there are yellow alerts for strong wind along the coast that will be active all day until 7pm.

It will be a dry night and a calm Wednesday morning on March 12, with the weather warnings for wind having all been deactivated. The minimum and maximum temperatures will also rise by a couple of degrees on Wednesday, but while the morning is dry and bright, the afternoon is forecast to bring fresh downpours to the entire Region.
