The new residential development, Corvera Hills Residences, is progressing along nicely as they move into its latest construction phase. The project is designed with open space and the surrounding landscape in mind, so it feels much quieter than some of the more built-up developments in other parts of Spain.
Set at the foot of the El Valle y Carrascoy Regional Park, the development is being promoted by the locally based agency Just Murcia Property. They work mainly with international buyers and focus on homes that are practical, easy to maintain, and designed to make the most of natural light and views of the nearby mountains.
In total, the development will include 500 modern homes. This current phase features two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments alongside larger villas, some on private plots. The apartments include a 20m² terrace to make the most of outdoor living, as well as private parking and a storage room. Residents also have access to beautiful communal swimming pools and landscaped gardens. If you are looking for more space and a bit more privacy, the villas are the perfect option.
A key part of the overall project is the upgrade of the Corvera Hills golf course, which has been fully redesigned with a more technical layout. It is also the only course in Spain to use Bermuda Río grass, a variety that remains green throughout the year and uses very little water. An automated irrigation system has also been installed, which only activates when sensors detect that the soil is actually dry, further reducing water consumption.
It is a quieter setting than many of the more developed coastal areas, with a slower pace of life. But it is only a short drive from Murcia International Airport and has good connections to Murcia city, local shops, and healthcare services. Because of the less built-up design, the homes are being used not just for holidays and retirement, but also for full-time living and remote working.
The long-term plan for the area is to create a complete community rather than just a housing development. Future plans include a shopping centre, a hotel, and a clubhouse with a restaurant. The idea is to give residents access to everyday services within the resort itself, while still being surrounded by open space and nature.
