Lorca has been struggling for weeks to bring coronavirus under control
For weeks Lorca has been one of the worst affected municipalities in the region for coronavirus, and has only recently been released from a municipal confinement after several weeks with the centre of the city closed down due to the high level of cases.
It seemed that the virus had finally been tamed, but cases have suddenly started to resume an upward trajectory and now it has been confirmed that an outbreak has been detected in the Internal Medicine department, with four patients affected.
The hospital has therefore decided to prohibit visits to patients as a way to preventing further infections. The management of the hospital center has adopted all the necessary measures to control its spread and has implemented the protocols to carry pertinent screening of patients and professionals.
