ARCHIVED - Rules for beach use in Águilas during the Covid Pandemic
ARCHIVED ARTICLE
Although in some areas of Spain the Covid pandemic has forced high occupancy beach areas such as Benidorm to implement a queueing system allocating a sectioned-off area of beach for use by sunbathers, here in Águilas we have no such problems and the sheer scale of our beaches guarantees that there is plenty of space for everyone and no need to partition up the beach for use.

However, we do have a few basic rules which we ask bathers to respect during the Covid Pandemic:
Rules for beach use
-The use of sunshades, sun loungers, hammocks, seats and towels laid out on the sand is permitted.
Social distancing of 1.5 metres should be left between the exterior limits of each family group. This is not necessary within a family group.
-All personal objects such as towels, suncream, bags or toys should be kept close to their owner, avoiding contact with other beach users.
-Recreational activities either individually or in groups, involving the use of balls, inflatable balls, rackets or thrown objects is permitted, providing the social distance of 1.5 meters between players is observed and players do not invade the space occupied by other beach users.
-Do not come to the beach if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
-If you start to feel ill whilst on the beach and believe you may be suffering from Covid-19, call 112
