The Alameda de la Constitución in Lorca

A tree-lined avenue and public park near the city centre of Lorca
The tree-lined pedestrian boulevard of Alameda de la Constitución is one of various which exist in the south-eastern outskirts of Lorca, and the same name is now used to encompass the whole of the area around it, including other “Alamedas” and a large public park area.
This park, despite being situated only a couple of hundred metres from the bustling city centre, is a place where the atmosphere is one of leisure and relaxation, and is also a popular destination for joggers. Plane trees and other deciduous species abound, providing shade in the summer, when open-air café bars and kiosks are opened, but allowing sunlight through their bare branches in winter, and visitors to Lorca are recommended to stop by all year round!
This is also a location used during the many fiestas and festivals which take place in Lorca every year, and is often chosen as the site for artisan events during broader celebrations such as the Feria in September.
