The Mazarron Women's Football Club
Participate or support Mazarrón Women’s Football Club, from beginners to experienced senior squad players in football and beach football
MAZARRÓN FEMINAS FOOTBALL CLUB
The Mazarrón Women’s Football Club (Mazarrón Feminas club de Fútbol), registered with the FFRM (Football Federation of the Region of Murcia) was founded in 2018 with the aim of being the Women’s Football Club standard in the municipality of Mazarrón. Bringing together a training program with more than 120 players from the age of five until they reach the senior team that, this year, has been named in the Murcia regional “Preferred” category.
In the 2023-2024 season the club worked in four levels, by age and sports discipline:
1-. SENIOR TEAM (15 - 25 years). The club are registered in the Preferred category of the Murcia Region’s top regional level of women's soccer. In the 22-23 season, matches were played for the second consecutive year at the Mazarrón Municipal Stadium. A total of 22 players between the ages of 15 and 25. Retaining seventh position in the regular FFRM League. and the team have played for the first time the most prestigious Tournament in the Spanish Levante, the “Levante Cup”, where the team finished as champions, without losing a single match.
2.- CADETE/JUNIOR TEAM (14 - 18 years) established for the 2023 season and registered in the FFRM, having a list of 20 players from the municipality, where ages overlap from 14 to 18 years old and have been able to enjoy their first experience in competing officially with teams of the same ages from the Murcia Region. This team has a coaching staff made up of several experienced players from the senior team, trained for this task and who are a benchmark for young athletes. This team play their matches at the Media Legua Sports Complex, as it is an 11 a-side football discipline.
3.- CHILDREN/STARTER TEAM (10 – 14 years) the introductory team or stepping stone to the next levels.
4.- SPORTS SCHOOLS (5 - 15 years). This season the club have once again been entrusted with the management of girls from 5 to 14 years old in the municipalities schools. In this section the club works with a total of 50 girls, divided in groups of 16 players with coaches specially trained to introduce players to the sport, having all the material and sports equipment necessary for appropriate instruction.
SOCIAL INTERACTION
In the Club, the social interaction of sport in the municipality and integration takes precedence since it would be wrong to deprive any citizen of sports practice due to their social, racial, political status or their age, with 70 players registered to compete in different leagues and another 50 young players who are undergoing their first year of training and education with the team in order to advance into the pool of young players that consolidates the women's soccer project in the municipality of Mazarrón.
The club is committed to its basics both in sports and economics, particularly as the club is one of the few clubs in the Region of Murcia where no monetary contribution is required from the players to support the organisation whose teams competing in perfect condition both materially and in the necessary human resources.
All our teams have a technical staff, made up of coaches, physical trainers, physiotherapists, and a psychological office, the vast majority of which are widely trained women since we prioritise their participation in the training of younger players and senior team players as they can relate to young girl athletes.
In the town of Mazarrón, the Club is a social criterion for its concerns, since with 30,000 inhabitants it is a Club that brings together more than 120 young women soccer players, the Club aim to train them both in sports and in social matters.
** The Club has a collaboration agreement with the FFRM and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Murcia where it provides data and images in a study of “Knee Injuries in Women's Football”.
**Since the Club’s members are very young and practice sport for many of them with deep roots in society it is a new experience so the Club have seen the need to offer a psychological service to help players in their overall training.
** Within the Club’s social events two annual activities are organised for a day of casual interaction for all the members of the Club and their families.
** The Club regularly participates in local sports radio programmes
** One of the Club’s young players has been chosen to light "the eternal fire of the Carthaginians and Romans" at the Cartagena Festivals.
** The Club organise an event at the first meeting of each season where recognition is celebrated of the first women who played soccer in Mazarrón in the 80s.
** The Club is actively involved in the creation and maintenance of the Football Museum in Mazarrón, providing bibliographic material and an exhibition of the Club’s trophies, game shirts and other items.
** The Club organise the collection and delivery of toys for the charity “Cáritas Mazarrón” every Christmas.

MAZARRÓN FEMINAS BEACH FOOTBALL
In the Beach Soccer section, the Club is entering a crucial season for its future. After the successes achieved last summer, culminating with a promotion to the National 1st Division, the Club has to redouble its work philosophy and reaffirm their presence in the world of Beach Soccer at a national level.
The Club’s prime aim is to work with young players, all from the Region of Murcia who stand out in 11 a side football, who with the appropriate passage of training can transfer their quality and dedication and excel in national beach soccer.
As players, this year UEFA is considering the creation of the National Team SUB-20, where Mazarrón Women’s Football Club have 4-5 players who could be called up, due to their high quality, following the footsteps of their male companions from Mazarrón who have received call ups for all the Spanish National Team games.
The Club supplies all the training and basic needs to compete with aid both Public and Private as none of the club’s players pay any amount for participating in different sporting events. The Club understands that given the difficulties in women's sports personal economic considerations should not play a part.
In the Club work is done from the grass roots to those who compete at the top level, and with 80 Murcian players and their coaching staff the Club consider their selves "ADN MURCIA", carrying the educational facility’s brand with pride and diligence.
As a result of this work the Club already contributes personnel to the different National Teams:
- 2 Players to the National Beach Soccer Team (World Cup Champions/23 and Champions of the Sand Games held in Saudi Arabia).
