Mucho Ruido about Nothing is an unusual version of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing (the title is a mix of the names of the play in Spanish and English) in which The Bard’s romantic comedy is fused with swing music. The music is performed live as nine actors/dancers and five musicians take to the stage in a performance inspired by the New York dance halls of the late 1930s.
This production has received widespread praise, winning several major awards and is included within the programme of selected shows supported by the regional ministry of culture.
Dialogue is in Spanish.
The performance at the Teatro Guerra in Lorca on 27th February begins at 21.00 with tickets priced at 6, 12 and 15 euros.
