Who Are We

The Women’s Association of Hacienda del Alamo has been set up for all the ladies who live, own, work or who are associated with Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort. Our aim is for ladies to meet each other and do activities, or go on trips together. There have been a vast number of interests that the ladies are interested in, so we will try and arrange to do as many of them as possible.

We are an official Association, having registered with the Head Office of the Asociacion de Mujeres, in Murcia.
We have around 560 ladies who have joined our group, mainly English, and of course Spanish, but many other nationalities, ranging from Scottish, Irish, Welsh, French, Belgian, German, Dutch, to Norwegian, Russian, Canadian, South African, Brazilian, Filipino, Hungarian, Serbian, Romanian, Danish, Argentinian, Columbian Ukranian, Kazakhstan, Dominican Republic, Latvia, Thai, Malaysian and Chinese.

We meet at the Golf Club house cafeteria every Wednesday at 10.00 am. If there are enough ladies, we will go for a walk, unless we have organized some other event. Otherwise we will just have a coffee and a natter.
The motto of our Asociacion is “We are here for you”.

Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort, Fuente Alamo.

The Hacienda del Álamo Golf Resort is located just 3km from the town of Fuente Álamo in South West Murcia and is a completed resort with an 18 Hole Golf Course, set in extensive landscaped gardens and public areas.

The resort has some of the best Golf tuition facilities in Spain, with a completed clubhouse, golf instruction academy, driving range and training courses as well as the full sized championship course.

The resort also has tennis and padel courts, a bowling green and football and rugby pitches, together with cycle facilities and public leisure areas.

The property in Hacienda del Álamo is low density, with just 12% of the resort area urbanised, the remainder landscaped inside a security gated complex.
Hacienda del Álamo is located 35 minutes from the airport of San Javier, and just 15 minutes from the new International airport at Corvera, which is due to open in the summer of 2013.
The town of Fuente Álamo is well connected to the Cities of Murcia and Cartagena, with local facilities available in nearby Fuente Álamo.
Beaches are just a 20 minute drive away in Mazarrón, which has 35 kilometres of sandy beaches and the Mar Menor is a half hour drive away, with over 70 kilometres of beaches on both the Mediterranean and Mar Menor, and superb watersports facilities.
Fuente Álamo is also near to Alhama de Murcia, the projected site of the proposed Paramount Murcia Theme Park and the Sierra Espuña, with a wide variety of walks and leisure options on offer.

The resort has a good range of social and club activities taking place at the clubhouse and Town centre behind the sales office, and is surrounded by expats living in the area, offering a wide range of social activities, clubs, associations and support groups.
