After the technical evaluation phase the approved proposals are announced and the public vote has started
Mazarrón Councillor for Finance, Ginés Campillo, announced on Friday October 6 the opening of the public voting period for the Town Hall budget participation scheme. Nearly a hundred proposals were submitted by the public to this selective process, which have been reviewed by the Technical Assessment Commission. The Commission consisted of municipal technicians, together with the Councillor for Citizen Participation, representatives from all the other council political parties, plus 3 Councillors in charge of Council departments.
A total of 11 proposals were lodged by Camposol residents for review, of which two have been approved for the voting stage.
The proposals will now be presented to the public who will choose by vote those proposals that they wish to see executed by the Council. In order to participate, you must meet at least one of the following requirements: be registered on the padrón in the municipality and be over 16 years of age and/or be the catastral owner of real estate property in the locality. Voting will take place through the mazarron.governalia.es portal.
Of the two proposals for Camposol that have reached the voting process one involves the provision of exercise equipment including static table tennis tables and other callisthenic type exercise apparatus situated on a concrete base. The other is to create a secure dog park with a closed enclosure and activity devices, being an asset to the community and encouraging good behaviour and allowing enjoyment among dog owners.

Each user will be able to vote for a maximum of 3 proposals and the participatory process will be open until November 7.
From the proposals that have been put to a vote by the Technical Evaluation Commission, the three with the highest number of votes will go through to a second round to choose between them. In the event of any other circumstance not contemplated in the basis of the proposals, the commission will meet and decide on the matter.
The Camposol-related proposals that were not approved by the Technical Commission were 2 proposals for exercise areas which were consolidated with the successful proposal, 2 proposals to rebuild Calles Arucarias and Aljibe, the cost of which would exceed the budget limit of €200,000, a number of proposals to asphalt Calles Sorvillan, Cañar, Siles and Aspillas which failed as the roads are not under Mazarrón Council’s jurisdiction, and also proposals to construct a recycling point and create a gap in the central reservation of Avenida de los Covachos, which did not gain approval.
