Weather outlook on Tuesday December 12
The province of Alicante can look forward to a few more days of spring-like temperatures before the mercury begins to dip in the middle of the week. Tuesday December 12, in particular, is set to be a scorcher, with the mercury tipped to exceed in 27 or 28ºC in large parts of the south.
This summery episode will be short-lived, however, and the heat will begin to ebb away from Wednesday December 13, giving rise to temperatures more usual for mid-December.
Monday December 11
Monday morning will start off mostly clear and bright but the cloud cover will increase during the afternoon. Daytime temperatures will begin to rise across the board and while no major changes are expected to the minimums, the evening will be very mild in most places.

Alcoy: 14ºC to 26ºC
Alicante: 15ºC to 25ºC
Denia: 13ºC to 23ºC
Elche: 13ºC to 27ºC
Orihuela: 11ºC to 27ºC
Tuesday December 12
Tuesday promises to be mostly clear again with some high clouds and both the day and night-time temperatures will remain unseasonably high. A moderate southwesterly wind will blow along the coast but the breeze will be light inland.

Alcoy: 16ºC to 26ºC
Alicante: 15ºC to 26ºC
Denia: 14ºC to 23ºC
Elche: 14ºC to 27ºC
Orihuela: 13ºC to 28ºC
Wednesday December 13
After an overcast start the skies will open up on Wednesday afternoon, giving way to a bright and sunny day. However, the daytime temperatures will begin to fall, plummeting by several degrees in parts, and a moderate breeze from the west will create a wind chill in the evening.

Alcoy: 8ºC to 16ºC
Alicante: 13ºC to 22ºC
Denia: 12ºC to 21ºC
Elche: 12ºC to 21ºC
Orihuela: 12ºC to 21ºC
Thursday December 14
Slightly cloudy or clear skies will predominate in most of Alicante although the northern part of the province will be more overcast. Day and night-time temperatures will continue to drop and there’s a good chance of some weak frosts inland.
Moderate westerly wind, with very strong gusts in the north.
