ARCHIVED - A wet washout of a week until the weekend: Andalusia weather forecast Nov 14-20
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
Although it will be sunny next weekend, temperatures will drop significantly
Next weekend, Saturday November 19 and Sunday 20, will be bright and sunny across all eight provinces of Andalusia, although we can expect a severe drop in temperatures especially at night-time, when the municipality of Trevélez in Granada will be the first place so far this season to register below-zero temperatures.
However, to reach that sunny weekend, we have to traverse a week that will be wet and grey for most.
On Monday November 14, it is only Huelva in the far west of the Andalusia region and the small municipality of Espiel in northern Cordoba that get the rain, while almost everyone else enjoys bright sunshine.

By Tuesday November 15, though, the rain will have spread eastwards across the region, covering nearly everywhere in low, dark clouds, with the exception of the far eastern corner of Almeria, though this area will be on yellow alert for strong wind and waves along the coast on Tuesday and Wednesday. There will also be patches of fog in some isolated areas.

No one will be safe on Wednesday 16, though, and there will be heavy rain droplets all day long in the entire southern half of Spain – an utter washout.

Beware for weather warnings that the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) may issue for the risk of flooding on this day and Thursday 17, which will bring more of the same but sun for the coast of Almeria and Malaga in the afternoon.

The rain will begin to clear up on Friday 18, though there will still be plenty of wet areas and thunderstorms in the northeast of the region, in Jaén and inland Almeria, bordering the Region of Murcia.

Finally, the long-awaited sunny Saturday will dawn bright but chilly, with both maximum and minimum temperatures dropping significantly between 5 and 10ºC.
