ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
Tuesday and Wednesday this week will be nice, but the rest of the time we will get the rains we have long been praying for
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday March 9
There will be plenty more rain in Andalucía this week, especially for those in the west, north and centre of the region. Not so lucky for Almería, which is suffering from drought just like the province of Málaga is but has had even less rain than the Costa del Sol and will barely get wet again this week.
Monday morning, March 4, starts off with foggy patches which hang on throughout the day in parts of Jaén. It will be very cloudy in general, though the coasts of Cádiz, Granada and Almería will be more sunny than cloudy. The very northernmost part of Andalucía, on its border with Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha, will have rain and thunderstorms.

Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 will be the brightest, driest days of the week and the ones with the warmest daytime temperatures, with just some light cloud cover allowing the sun to heat us up to 22ºC in parts of Seville, Córdoba and Almería.
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday March 6
It is on Thursday 7 when the rain comes sweeping back in again from the Atlantic, covering the entire western half of the region and bringing with it thunderstorms for Huelva and strong winds of up to 30kmh for the Strait of Gibraltar.
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday March 7
The rain persists on Friday 8, likely causing a washout for any marches and events planned for International Women’s Day. In the mountains of Jaén and the Sierra Nevada, the combination of heavy precipitation and falling temperatures will lead to snowfall.
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday March 8
The rain and snow continue on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10, though Almería will get off quite lightly, with barely a chance of rain forecast on the coast of the province, while everywhere else gets a thorough soaking. Saturday will be quite blustery along the coast, though, especially in the morning when Cádiz, Málaga, Granada and Almería could see windspeeds of up to 45 or even 55kmh.
