Diving, local cuisine and the castle of Águilas feature in the popular Spanish travel documentary

<span style='color:#780948'>ARCHIVED</span> - Aguilas features in the second season of Enclaves on Amazon Prime TV The municipalities of Águilas and Jumilla, in the south-west and far north of the Region of Murcia, are both to be featured in the next series of the Amazon Prime TV series “Enclaves”, which is presented by Nacho Rodríguez (“El Viajero”, or The Traveller”).

This represents a great showcase for the attractions of two very different locations in Murcia, Águilas boasting a spectacular stretch of Mediterranean coastline and a huge range of different beaches, while Jumilla is perhaps best known for its world-renowned wine production. In both cases the towns concerned have fascinating old centres which make it a pleasure to learn about their historical development, and both are overlooked by imposing castles.

<span style='color:#780948'>ARCHIVED</span> - Aguilas features in the second season of Enclaves on Amazon Prime TV The second season of Enclaves takes viewers to some of the most fascinating parts of Spain, showing some of the keys to enjoying local life, and in Águilas El Viajero will be enjoying the local “ajo colorao” culinary speciality. The program also features some of the most interesting local monuments, including the castle of San Juan de las Águilas and the Casino, as well as a scuba diving exploration of the clear Mediterranean water around the Isla del Fraile. The episode is titled “Paraíso subacuático bajo milenios de historia” (An Underwater Paradise beneath thousands of years of history).

Also featured in the second series of Enclaves are the cities of Valencia and A Coruña, as well as Medina del Campo, Avilés, Campo de Criptana, the bio-reserves of Monfragüe and Tajo Internacional and the Geoparque Villuercas Ibores Jara.

Aguilas Tourist Office Águilas boasts 28 kilometres of coastline, with many fine, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and unspoilt natural beaches. It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)

Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.

The tourist information office is located in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos, just a short walk from the sea front and Plaza de España, a cool, shaded space in which to enjoy a coffee.
