This is everything you can do for free at the Seville White Night this Friday
The Noche en Blanco, one of the most eagerly awaited nights returns to Seville this year, packed with activities designed to help visitors and locals alike discover some of the most iconic places in the city as you’ve never seen them before.
The White Night event in Seville takes place on Friday October 7, bringing cultural activities to every corner of the city, including cinema, theatre, crafts, photography, music and painting. The event includes more than 120 activities and many of them are absolutely free.
Most of the events need to be booked in advance and these are the free ones.
In the audiovisual field, we can find events such as Encuentros con Christian Flores. Humor absurdo que reflexiona; the exhibition Homo Ludens o Talking Brains at Caixa Forum; the Antropoloops session at Plaza de América 3; La travesía de la Victoria and En busca del tesoro de las Islas Molucas at the Museo Casa de la Ciencia.
If you like photography and design, you can find the photographic exhibition Resiliencia at the Centro Cívico Las Sirenas; Miradas del Colectivo at Calle Siete Revueltas; and Eutopía y Dispersión at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Sevilla.
For music, check out Puerto d’Indias, parada en Sevilla: Músicas del mundo at Plaza de Cuba metro station in Seville; the concert by Gonzalo de Cos in Prado de San Sebastián, Swing in Sevilla Swing Dance; and Twerk/Comercial in the Tempo school, among many other concerts.
In terms of cultural and historical heritage, there are many free option, such as a guided visit to the Archivo General de Indias; a visit to San Luis de los Franceses; a visit to the Convent of Capuchinos, the Cathedral and the Giralda, the Church of Santa María and San Juan Bautista de la Salle, among many others.
There will also be free exhibitions such as Navegantes IV, El Regreso at the Las Columnas civic centre; a guided tour of Extraño: Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo; and the exhibition Un arbusto es un árbol para jugar al escondite II by Rosa Aguilar.
In addition, it is possible to book urban walking routes for a small fee, and to go to performances of plays at the theatre. All the details of the full programme can be found on the Noche en Blanco website.
