Cadiz has been placed on yellow alert for strong winds and dangerous sea conditions
Average temperatures forecast on Sunday December 29
The upcoming weekend in Andalucía is set to be predominantly sunny, with clear skies across most of the community. However, there will be some exceptions, particularly in the eastern areas and along the Mediterranean coast, where fog and low clouds are expected to form.
Friday December 27
The weather on Friday will be similar to the rest of Christmas week, with stable but cold conditions and strong easterly winds in the Strait of Gibraltar area. This easterly wind will bring humidity, leading to some cloudiness on the Andalucían coast and pre-coastal regions, with the possibility of light rain throughout the day.
It will also be fairly cloudy in Almería and the southern and eastern parts of Granada. Wind speeds in the Strait of Gibraltar will be particularly strong, with gusts potentially exceeding 60 km/h, prompting active yellow warnings for dangerous sea conditions in Cadiz.
Day-time temperatures will fall across the board, although the mercury will still hit 20ºC in Sevilla.
Saturday December 28
The weather will remain largely unchanged on Saturday, with mostly clear and sunny skies forecast across Andalucía. However, low clouds and fog banks are expected in coastal areas and low-lying inland basins, especially in the early hours.
Strong winds will continue to affect the entire community, with the most intense gusts in the Strait of Gibraltar, where warnings for wind and high waves will remain in effect. The Mediterranean coast will also experience strong winds.
Temperatures will take another dip, falling to around 17ºC or 18ºC in most parts.
Sunday December 29
Sunday will see a continuation of the clear skies, though low clouds and fog banks will persist along the coast and inland. Strong winds will continue to blow throughout Andalucía, with the most significant impacts in the Strait of Gibraltar and along the Mediterranean coast.
Daytime temperatures will remain largely unchanged.
