Andalusia weekly weather forecast April 8-14: A big change from Tuesday onwards
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
This Monday will bring warm temperatures, high winds and rain to many parts of Andalucía, but that is all set to change…
Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday April 9
Overall, it will be a pleasantly warm and sunny week in Andalucía, with little chance of rain, mostly gentle breezes and temperatures not quite so hot as they were this past weekend.
Monday April 8 is the outlier of the week, with temperatures still reaching as high as 28ºC and lots of cloudy spells across the region as the remnants of the calima Saharan dust cloud still linger on.
There will also be a good chance of rain across the centre of the region, stretching from Cádiz in the south up to Córdoba and towards Ciudad Real in the north, and around the border between Huelva and Extremadura. Combined with the calima, this could make for some red, muddy rain in places. Málaga and Sevilla should remain pretty dry, as will Almería, but Granada and Jaén could get some rain towards the evening.

From Tuesday 9 onwards, however, the calima should have all gone. It will be uniformly dry and bright, with barely a cloud in the sky to speak of the whole week long and very little chance of rain.
Temperatures will drop down by about five or six degrees overnight on Tuesday, so while it won’t feel cold there will still be a noticeable change. It will slowly get warmer again as the week goes on, back up to around 30ºC again by Sunday, at least in Sevilla.
Cádiz and Gibraltar can expect to have a consistently windy week, with windspeeds regularly sticking around 30-35kmh, especially on Wednesday morning and between Thursday evening and Saturday morning.

Almería and other parts of the east of Andalucía could also see strong winds, but only on Monday evening, and in fact yellow weather warnings have been issued for just that possibility all along the coast of Almería and Granada.
On the whole, though, it will be a pleasant week’s weather with not too many surprises.
