ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
It will be another wet week for southern Spain, with showers coming and going until Friday
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday September 20
The sunshine and showers in Andalucía continue this week as Spain prepares for the start of the autumn season on Saturday September 23. The beginning of fall will also make itself felt with a steady drop in temperatures across the south of Spain, with the Costas barely able to muster up 30ºC days this mid-September.
Monday September 18 is overcast but sunny for most in Andalucía, except for the province of Huelva in the far west, which will be the first to experience the dark storm clouds and rainfall to come over the next couple of days.

This rain will last all night and as we move into Wednesday 20 it will become less heavy and persistent, but will extend to cover every remaining square inch of the region.
There is a brief respite on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, but then the rain comes pushing back in from the Atlantic side and into the centre of Andalucía, covering Sevilla and Cádiz too.

By Friday 22 and going into the weekend, it will start to dry out and Saturday 23 is currently forecast to be bright and sunny for all. However, the sun will bring cold comfort as temperatures during the day will be a couple of degrees cooler than what we have become used to recently and it may be time to get the blankets out at night too.
