Plenty of guided tours and visits along with the arrivals of Santa and the Three Kings in Mula

The official program of events over the Christmas, New Year and Three Kings period has been announced in Mula, with numerous activities and workshops complementing the traditional religious celebrations and the visits of Santa and the Kings.

The festive mood will be set in the evening of December 5, when the lights are switched on in the town centre, with the main events over the following month being as follows:

Monday December 5

16.00: Children’s entertainment and games in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, followed by a musical parade.

19.00: The festive decorations are switched on.

20.00: The municipal “Belén” is opened in the Convento de San Francisco.

Tuesday December 6

10.00: Guided walk in the foothills of Sierra Espuña, starting at the football pitch in Casas Nuevas. Further information is available at the tourist office.

Thursday December 8

10.30: Guided tour for all the family at the Roman villa of Los Villaricos, price 4 euros. Further information is available at the tourist office.

12.00: Official opening of the “Poblado Navideño” in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Calle Boticas. There are activities here from 11.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 21.00, including puppet theatre, workshops and children’s fairground attractions.

17.00 to 20.30: Father Christmas arrives at the Convento de San Francisco in Mula, with bouncy castles to keep the kids occupied!

10.30: Choral Mass at the church of El Niño de Mula.

Monday December 26

18.30: Carols by the Cuadrilla Río Mula-Los Lucas in the church of San Juan Bautista (in La Puebla de Mula).

Thursday January 5

The Royal Postmen visit outlying districts of Mula to collect letters addressed to the Three Kings. They will be in the main square of Puebla de Mula and Yéchar from 10.30 to 12.00, outside the school of Casas Nuevas and at the Centro Social of Fuente Librilla from 12.30 to 14.00, at the church of El Niño de Mula from 11.00 to 12.00 and in Los Baños de Mula from 9.45 to 10.45.

12.00 to 14.00 and 15.00 to 17.00: A stationary Three Kings parade in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

19.00: The Grand Three Kings parade makes its way from Espacio M to Emeterio Cuadrado, Calle Boticas and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

Friday January 6

12.30: Choral Mass with the Cuadrilla Río Mula at the church of San Francisco.
