Construction of dog park completed with agility course in Camposol's Central Park in under 3 weeks
Silvia García, Mazarrón Councillor for Animal Welfare, has announced the completion of the works of the second winning proposal of the nunicipal budget participation competition.
As a result of the first citizen budget participation scheme in the history of the Mazarrón Town Hall, the second most voted for proposal is today a reality. This is the Camposol canine recreation area that the residents of this urbanisation proposed in the competition carried out at the end of 2022 by the Council’s Department of Finance. Work started on the facility in the Central Park area of Sector A in mid-March.
On Monday morning (April 3), the Councillor for Animal Welfare, Silvia García, presented the new facilities located in sector A. Where before there was an unused green area, there is now a new space in which pets and owners will enjoy an environment equipped with furniture urban area (litter bins, benches, pergolas, etc.) and an obstacle course for dogs (hoop jumping, catwalk, high fence jump, tunnel, etc.).
At a previous meeting Nigel Jones who put the Dog park proposal forward said “the original proposal was for the park to be on Sector D, but there was no land with the correct designation available, but he is happy the project is on the Camposol urbanisation and also thanked the Camposol 2025 group and the Camposol Free Community Sports group for supporting the proposal”
A few rules have been posted at the entrance to ensure that the facility is enjoyed by dogs and owners alike, they are
