Children’s entertainment dominates the festive season schedule in Torre Pacheco and outlying towns and villages

The vast majority of activities and entertainments programmed by the Town Hall of Torre Pacheco over Christmas, the New Year and Three Kings are directed at children, with entertainment in not only the town of Torre Pacheco itself, but also in outlying districts including Dolores de Pacheco, Roldán, San Cayetano, El Jimenado and Balsicas.

Among the events and activities programmed are the following (all in Torre Pacheco itself and all free of charge unless otherwise specified. Simply turn up for most events, with no need to pre-book anything):

Friday December 16

12.00: The annual automobile show opens at the IFEPA venue until 20.00.

21.00: Christmas concert by the Unión Musical de Torre Pacheco at the Centro de Artes Escénicas.

Saturday December 17

10.00 to 22.00: The annual automobile show at the IFEPA venue.

10.00 to 20.00: The Christmas fair and market of Torre Pacheco, with live music throughout the day, in Calle Mayor, Avenida de Fontes and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

19.00: Christmas concert by the Agrupación Musical Nuestra Señora del Pasico at the Centro de Artes Escénicas.

Sunday December 18

10.00 to 22.00: The annual automobile show at the IFEPA venue.

10.00 to 20.00: The Christmas fair and market of Torre Pacheco, with live music throughout the day, in Calle Mayor, Avenida de Fontes and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

18.00: “La Aventura de Bruno y Estela”, children’s entertainment at the Centro de Artes Escénicas. Tickets 4 euros.

19.15: The presentation of the nativity scene of Roldán in Calle Mayor of the village.

Tuesday December 20

19.30: The Town Hall “Belén” or nativity scene is presented in the Plaza Alcalde Pedro Jiménez.

Thursday December 22

17.00: Handicrafts workshop at the Centro Cívico in Dolores de Pacheco.

22.00: Josue Vivancos performs live at the local commerce and trade fair at the CAES.

Friday December 23

10.00: Charity flea market in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to raise funds for La Casa Cuna in Cartagena. Open all day.

21.30: The annual Christmas music concert by the Rondalla Virgen De Los Dolores at the Centro Cívico in Dolores de Pacheco.

Saturday December 24

11.00: Christmas face-painting in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

12.00: The Parade of Father Christmas takes place in Avenida Fontes and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

16.00: Christmas Eve in Balsicas at the marquee in the village.

1.00 am: Christmas party in the marquee in Balsicas!

Tuesday December 27

10.30 to 13.00: Decoration of the tree, batucada drummers and hot chocolate in the Parque de los Pinos in Dolores de Pacheco.

12.00: Magician Abel performs in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

16.00 to 18.30: Decoration of the tree, batucada drummers and hot chocolate with magdalencas in the Centro Multiusos of El Jimenado.

Wednesday December 28

10.30 to 13.00: Decoration of the tree, batucada drummers and hot chocolate in the Centro Cívico in Balsicas.

12.00: Music and dance with Kymbara in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

17.00: Music and dance with Kymbara in the Plaza de la Iglesia, Roldán.

17.00: Magician Abel performs in the Centro Multiusos of El Jimenado.

17.15: Christmas card workshop in the Centro Multiusos of El Jimenado.

Thursday December 29

10.30 to 13.00: Decoration of the tree, batucada drummers and hot chocolate in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

12.00: Un Puente de Circo, circus spectacular in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

12.00: Music and dance with Kymbara in the Centro Cívico in Balsicas.

16.00 to 18.30: Decoration of the tree, batucada drummers and hot chocolate with magdalencas in the Parque del Tejero (Roldán).

Friday December 30

17.00: Music and dance with Kymbara in the Centro Multiusos, El Jimenado.

Saturday December 31

12.00: Children’s New Year party in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

12.00: Magician Abel performs in the Plaza de la Iglesia in Roldán.

12.00: Music and dance with Kymbara in the Centro Cívico in Dolores de Pacheco.

16.00: New Year’s Eve in Balsicas at the marquee in the village.

Monday January 2

12.00: Magician Abel performs in the Centro Cívico in Balsicas.

Tuesday January 3

12.00: Magician Abel performs in the Centro Cívico in Dolores de Pacheco.

12.00: The Three Kings begin their magical omnipresence with a visit to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

Thursday January 5

11.30: Traditional Roscón de Reyes cake and hot chocolate in the Plaza Alcalde Pedro Jiménez.

12.00: The Three Kings now arrive in the Plaza Alcalde Pedro Jiménez.

17.00: The Grand Three Kings Parade in Balsicas.

18.00: Barely drawing breath, the Three Kings magically transport themselves to Torre Pacheco for another grand parade.

18.30: Displaying their mystical prowess, Their Royal Highnesses SIMULTANEOUSLY begin another parade in El Jimenado.

19.00: Defying all logic the Three Kings begin another parade in Dolores de Pacheco.

19.30: Stretching the limits of credulity, Their Majesties begin yet another parade in San Cayetano.

20.00: The Three Kings prepare for their efforts during the night, bringing gifts to Plaza Alcalde Pedro Jiménez….

20.00: …while at the same time beginning their annual parade in Roldán!

And with that the festivities are over for another year in the municipality of Torre Pacheco!
