The ECOS festival, which has become a fixture in the late summer cultural calendar of Murcia in recent years and is now celebrating its 7th edition, also offers guided tours, nature hikes and local food tastings, and full details can be found in Spanish at the festival website ecosfestival.com (where online ticket sales can also be found for individual events).
The schedule also includes “family concerts” during the morning, making the music available to audiences of all ages.
The programme for the three weekends of music in 2023 is as follows:
Weekend 1
Friday August 25 at 21.30 and 23.00, ANACRONÍA at Las Posadas del Duque in Librilla (each performance lasts 60 minutes).
Saturday August 26 at 10.00, ANACRONÍA perform again at the same venue in a family concert.
Saturday August 26 at 21.00 and 23.00, CANTORIA perform at the Museo Arqueológico de Los Baños in Alhama de Murcia. (each performance lasts 60 minutes).
Sunday August 27 at 10.00: The CONJUNTO BARROCO DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE MURCIA perform at the Museo Arqueológico de Los Baños in Alhama de Murcia.
Weekend 2
Friday September 1 at 21.00, ENTREBESCANT perform outside the church of Los Remedios in Pliego (duration 60 minutes).
Saturday September 2 at 10.00, ENTREBESCANT return to the same bvenue for a family concert.
Saturday September 2 at 21.30, DÚO BARROCO perform in the cloister of the Convento de San Francisco in Mula.
Sunday September 3 at 10.00, DÚO BARROCO return to the same venue for a family concert.
Weekend 3
Friday September 8 at 21.00, THE GARDENERS perform in the stunning gardens of La Santa just outside Totana.
Saturday September 9 at 10.30, THE GARDENERS offer a family concert in the church of Santiago el Mayor in Totana.
Saturday September 9 at 20.30 and 22.30: FLUTES & FRETS perform in the ravine of La Arboleja in Aledo (60 minutes).
Sunday September 10 at 10.00 and 11.30, DÚO MILLOS offer two family concerts in the Estrecho de la Arboleja in Aledo.
The first tickets are already on sale from Tuesday, August 17, and will be available one week before each concert.

Alhama de Murcia Tourist information office is located on the edge of the Plaza de la Constitución, just a few metres away from the underground car park and the Town hall of Alhama de Murcia.
The tourist office offers free guided audiotours in English which take visitors around the historical sites of interest in Alhama. These be loaned at any time, although allow an hour and a half to complete the tour, and when loaning the audio equipment visitors are asked to leave passports or ID cards with the tourist office.
The office also carries a full range of leaflets for the archaeological museum of Los Baños, which is built around the historic spa which gives Alhama its name, and the mountains of Sierra Espuña, which is also an important area within the municipality of Alhama. Areas such as El Berro and Gebas have a number of interesting routes which can be followed and there are several picnic areas and good walking routes within the Sierra Espuña natural park.
The tourist office also carries leaflets for the many cultural events and fiestas which take place in Alhama throughout the year, including Los Mayos, Semana Santa, Christmas,the Romería of La Candelaria and the Auto de los Reyes Magos in El Berro.
