The General Surgery coordinator has been appointed for the new Mederi Salud Group Guadalentín Hospital in Camposol, Mazarrón
As reported in the Spanish regional media, the Mederi Salud Group’s Guadalentín Private Hospital located in the Camposol urbanisation, Mazarrón, will open its doors this June. After a recent statement regarding the appointment of key management personel and a recruitment drive for 150 positions, it has also been announced that Dr. Ricardo Robles has been appointed as coordinator of General Surgery. Dr Robles, who currently holds the position of Regional Transplant Coordinator at the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital, is also a researcher and professor of surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of Murcia and coordinator of Robotic Surgery in Murcia Health Area 1.
"I am proud to be at the forefront of a project that puts medicine in the Region and the Guadalentín Region at the forefront of surgery. We are very excited about our work, knowing that hundreds of patients will be able to access the most advanced technology in operations of different specialties. Thanks to the Da Vinci robot, we improve the accuracy and quality of patient recovery," said Ricardo Robles after his recent appointment.
It has also been confirmed that Dr. Pedro López Cubillana, a specialist in urology and andrology, and doctor of medicine and surgery, will be responsible for the Urology area. Dr. López Cubillana highlighted that "the hospital's equipment. including the Da Vinci robot," will have benefits in treating conditions such as prostate cancer.
Another appointment is Dr. Laura Cánovas, a specialist in minimally invasive and advanced robotic surgery, and now head of the Gynecology team at the Hospital del Guadalentín, explains: "Thanks to magnification and high definition, robotic surgery helps to better visualise the anatomy and therefore improve the safety of interventions."
The Guadalentín hospital, expected to open in June will have a 24-hour Emergency Department, 365 days a year, two hospitalisation floors with 36 admission beds, and a surgical area equipped with four operating rooms, one of them equipped with the surgical technology of the Da Vinci robot.
The hospital will offer healthcare in more than twenty medical and surgical specialties, as well as a wide variety of health services, provided by a selection of doctors with extensive experience and professional careers. The health centre has new and comfortable facilities and offers multilingual staff to accompany international patients.
