Residents have been advised of possible service interruptions during scheduled maintenance work

Cut to internet coming at Condado de Alhama

Residents at Condado de Alhama Golf Resort in the town of Alhama de Murcia have been advised of a planned internet service interruption later this month.

According to telecommunications company Elitesa, scheduled maintenance work by its network provider will take place on February 28, 2026 between 9am and 2pm. During this five-hour window, there is a high probability that services will be affected, with occasional interruptions expected.

Likewise, further disruption is expected on March 6 from 12 midnight until 6am, and on March 10 from midnight until 7am.

“This intervention is necessary to carry out improvements to the access equipment and ensure a more stable and higher quality service,” said the Elitesa announcement.

The scheduled work involves the replacement of FOADK with OPGW on the 132KV HIPICA-HINOJAR line.

The estimated duration of unavailability is up to five hours within the indicated period. Services in the wider Alhama de Murcia municipal area, including Las Cañadas 4 and Espinardo in Murcia, may also be affected.

Elitesa added, “Our team, together with the provider's team, will work to minimise any impact and restore service as quickly as possible. We thank you in advance for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this intervention may cause.”
