Get ready for more muddy rain: Alicante weather forecast June 17-20
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
More showers will douse Alicante province later this week although the temperatures will remain high
Weather outlook on Wednesday afternoon
Residents of Alicante will have spent a few days scrubbing their patios and gardens after the south of the province was drenched with muddy rain last week, but the mops and buckets will have to come back out shortly as more cloud bursts loaded with Saharan dust have been forecast by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The predicted rain won’t arrive until Wednesday or Thursday, however, and it’s unlikely to be particularly heavy.
Monday June 17
Mostly clear with occasional high clouds on Monday after an overcast start along the coast.
Temperatures will climb ever so slightly, hovering around the high 20s for the most part.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Monday
Alcoy: 17ºC to 31ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 27ºC
Denia: 18ºC to 27ºC
Elche: 17ºC to 29ºC
Orihuela: 18ºC to 30ºC
Tuesday June 18
Tuesday will be another largely bright and sunny day following intervals of low morning clouds on the coasts of Alicante. Temperatures will remain the same as Monday, and a light south or southeasterly breeze will be a little stronger in coastal areas.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Tuesday
Alcoy: 17ºC to 31ºC
Alicante: 19ºC to 28ºC
Denia: 19ºC to 29ºC
Elche: 17ºC to 29ºC
Orihuela: 17ºC to 31ºC
Wednesday June 19
Cloudy intervals, tending to cloudy or overcast late in the afternoon, when there’s a good chance of showers and even the occasional thunderstorm. Haze in the south could result in mud rain. Few changes are expected temperature-wise and a gentle east or southeasterly wind will have little impact.
Minimum and maximum temperatures on Wednesday
Alcoy: 16ºC to 29ºC
Alicante: 20ºC to 29ºC
Denia: 19ºC to 30ºC
Elche: 19ºC to 32ºC
Orihuela: 19ºC to 34ºC
Thursday June 20
Overcast skies will bring plenty of blustery showers to northern Alicante on Thursday, while cloudy intervals and a slight chance of scattered showers are forecast in the rest of the province, with yet more haze on the cards.
Both daytime and night-time temperatures will fall slightly.
