Affordable beach front accommodation in the heart of Murcia golf and water sports country!

The accommodation offered for rental by Apartamentos La Encarnación in the heart of Los Alcázares are a great opportunity for visitors to the Costa Cálida to enjoy the very best of the Mar Menor and surrounding area all year round, and at extremely affordable prices.

Guests are accommodated in the apartments located on the seafront next to the historic Hotel La Encarnación, which was built in the early 20^th century to cater for the emerging spa tourism market and is now the oldest hotel still open in the Region of Murcia. This area remains much favoured by expats from the UK and other northern European countries and all of the apartments are a short stone’s throw of the Mar Menor, the largest saltwater lagoon in Europe, making these true front-line beach properties!

The most prestigious courses are arguably those at La Manga Club and Hacienda del Álamo (both around half an hour by car) while the closest are those of La Serena, Mar Menor Golf Resort and Roda Golf, all just a 10-minute drive away. If you venture just slightly further north the options include Lo Romero, Villamartín, Las Ramblas and Las Colinas, all providing stiff challenges for all levels of golfer!

But don’t imagine that the sporting activities in the area are limited to golf! The calm waters and prevailing breezes in the Mar Menor make for ideal conditions in which to learn water sports, including sailing and kiteboarding, and plenty of aquatic sports centres are available along the inland shore of the lagoon all year round for those wishing to try their hand at mastering the seas!
