This summer, the Orihuela City Council's Department of Tourism has something special in store for residents and visitors alike – a fun-filled programme of free fitness classes and activities on the stunning Orihuela Costa. So, get ready to move, groove and salute the sun with an array of exciting options.

Whether you're a yoga enthusiast, a Zumba fanatic or a nature lover, there's something for everyone. The programme includes energetic Xtromba classes, lively Zumba sessions and guided yoga practices to get your body moving and your heart pumping, all happening on the picturesque promenade in Playa Flamenca.

Here's the range of activities you can enjoy this summer:

Friday July 5, 9am to 10am: Xtromba classes on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

No reservation is required.

Saturday July 6, 7.30pm to 8.30pm: Zumba classes on the promenade of Playa Flamenca.

No reservation is required.

Wednesday July 10, 8.30am to 9.30am: Guided yoga classes on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

It is advisable to bring a mat but no booking needed.

Thursday July 11, 8.30pm to 9.30pm: Bachata classes on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

No reservation is required.

Friday July 12, 9am to 10am: Xtromba classes on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

No reservation is required.

Saturday July 13, 7.30pm to 8.30pm: Zumba classes on the promenade .

No reservation is required.

Wednesday July 17, 8.30am to 9.30 am: Guided yoga classes on the promenade.

It is advisable to bring a mat but no reservation required.

Thursday July 18, 7.30pm: Excursion along the trails of Orihuela Costa entitled 'Pink sunsets: The flamingo route along the Orihuela coast', leaving from the Cala Capitán car park.

On this two-hour, low-difficulty tour, participants will be able to observe flamingos and other seabirds at sunset, offering photographic opportunities in a natural setting full of life and colour. You'll need a good pair of walking shoes and although the non-wheelchair accessible route is free, places are limited, so booking is required.

Thursday July 18, 8.30pm to 9.30pm: Bachata classes on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

No reservation is required.

Friday July 19, 9am to 10 am: Xtromba classes on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

Saturday July 20, 7.30pm to 8.30pm: Zumba classes on the promenade.

No reservation is required.

Sunday July 21, 8pm: Excursion along the trails of Orihuela Costa entitled 'The dunes of Orihuela, the last bastion of protected flora in Orihuela', leaving from La Glea beach.

The tour will take participants on an exploration of the Campoamor dunes, learning about the diversity of protected plants and the importance of their conservation for future generations.

The tour is free but places are limited so booking is required.

Wednesday July 24, 8.30am to 9.30am: Guided yoga classes on the promenade of Playa Flamenca.

Friday July 26, 9am to 10am: Xtromba classes on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

Saturday July 27, 7.30pm to 8.30pm: Zumba class on the promenade.

No booking required.

Saturday July 27, 9.30pm: Candlelit concert on the Playa Flamenca promenade.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy music in a charming atmosphere by the sea.

Wednesday July 31, 8.30am to 9.30am :Guided yoga classes on the promenade.

It is advisable to bring a mat. No reservation is required.

Thursday August 1, 8.30pm to 9.30pm. Bachata on the promenade.

No booking required.

Thursday August 1, 9pm: Guided night tour entitled 'Moths and flora in the moonlight at Punta de la Glea', starting from Calle Miguel de Unamuno in Orihuela Costa.

The route is free with limited places, so it will be necessary to make a reservation.
