24 plots of land on Mazarrón Country Club entered into state auction with a minimum reserve of 100 euros
On November 7, a collection of 26 lots were entered into the Spanish state auction with interested parties invited to submit “secret bids” in the 20-day online auction before the deadline at 6pm on November 27. These lots have been entered into the auction by an insolvency administrator through the Murcia bankruptcy court.
Of the 26 lots, 1 concerns office and warehouse premises in Mazarrón town and another an apartment above the offices. The remaining 24 involve plots of land on Mazarron Country Club urbanisation.
Three of the plots are large areas on the eastern part of the urbanisation, marked in green and number 1-3 on the above plan. These plots measure 6,212 square metres, 20,300 square metres and 4,700 square metres respectively. There are 20 plots inside the area marked 4 on the plan, ranging from 324 square metres to 1,030 square metres, and of these 14 are listed as building plots and 6 as “Espacio libre” (Free space). These 20 plots are spread over Calle Silla Posta, Calle Calesa and Calle Calesín.
The remaining plot is listed as 738 square metres between Calle Serre and Calle Cabriole. The exact location is not shown on the land registry reference so potential bidders would have to contact the insolvency administrator.
Only bids from registered users will be accepted, starting from a minimum of 100 euros. All 26 lots have been entered by an insolvency administrator and are already showing as “With Bid”, suggesting that bids have already been received.
The entering of these lots into the auction suggests that the original developer's assets are being liquidated. A similar situation occurred on the Camposol urbanisation some years ago where properties appeared in the state auction on various occasions, the last being a commercial unit on Sector A. The Sensol Hotel was sold for 3.8 million euros in 2018 (but still remains closed) and there was the mass auction of the bankrupt developer Justo y Manoli SL's assets in 2017/18, including over 100 villas and plots of land, although the El Saladillo (Camposol) building licence suspension has prevented any new build properties being started.
