Rain is forecast again for the Region of Murcia this week, but also plenty of sunny spells

Murcia weather forecast, Tuesday October 15

The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), Spain’s Met Office, forecasts that the weather in Murcia this coming week will be somewhat cloudy with some rain showers at the beginning of the week, but also with plenty of sunny spells.

Night-time temperatures for the week will be around the same as they were last week, but during the day it will be 3-4ºC cooler than the week before, never breaking the 30ºC barrier once.

Monday October 14 brings the chance of rain to the west and southwest of Murcia, around Puerto Lumbreras, Lorca and Águilas, while the rest of the Region will stay dry, if fairly grey and cloudy with some calima dust hanging in the air.

Tuesday 15 will possibly be the wettest day of the week, with rain expected almost everywhere at some point during the day, but never all at the same time. Thunderstorms are forecast in the centre of the Region, around Alhama de Murcia, as well as some misty patches in the north around Mula.

The west and south of the Region are on yellow alert almost all day long, from midnight until 8pm on Tuesday, for accumulated rainfall of up to 15mm per hour and the risk of storms.

The showers on Wednesday 16 will be limited to the northwest, around Bullas and Caravaca de la Cruz, in the early afternoon, and for the most part it should be dry and fairly sunny for the rest, though it will be a bit blowy on the coast with windspeeds up to 25kmh.

More dry and sunny conditions on Thursday October 17, with windy periods of up to 30kmh on the southwest coast, and Friday 18 should be dry, sunny and calm too.

It is on Friday evening and going into Saturday 19 that we can expect a very dark bank of clouds to roll across the entire Region, leaving a decidedly grey and dreary weekend, though for now no rain is forecast.
