ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
Dark clouds on the horizon for the end of this week will bring a drastic drop in temperatures
Murcia weather forecast, Thursday April 18
It’s been a scorcher in the south of Spain recently, but that’s set to change this week as the temperatures in the Region of Murcia decrease and more cloudy weather moves in.
This Monday April 15 and Tuesday 16 will still be very hot and sunny, with an unbroken spell of sunshine bringing maximum temperatures above 30ºC to much of the central and northern part of the region in the early afternoon, and highs of 23-26ºC for coastal areas. Minimum temperatures will still be around 11-15ºC.

But from Wednesday 17, the temperatures begin their decline. It still won’t be too overcast yet, and minimum temperatures at night-time will be around the same, but maximums will drop by up to 10 degrees in parts of central Murcia on Wednesday, though towns on the coast shouldn’t feel the change in temperatures too much yet.

As we move into Thursday 18 and Friday 19, a large mass of dark cloud is forecast to sweep across the Mediterranean coast, though the easterly winds aren’t expected to be too strong and the chance of rainfall is only 25%.

The weekend brings somewhat sunnier conditions as most of the dark clouds pass by, but according to the current weather forecast, it won’t be accompanied by a sharp rise in temperatures. At night, it will be as low as 3-5ºC in the north, centre and west of the region, but around 9-11ºC on the coast. During the day, maximum temperatures will be around 19-23ºC, which is still lower than the dramatic highs we’ve seen of late, but not cold per se.
