ARCHIVED - One more week of rain: Andalusia weather forecast March 28-April 3
ARCHIVED ARTICLE
There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms all week, but another sunny weekend at the end of it
While most of the region of Andalucía has woken up to a sunny Monday morning (the western province of Huelva excepted), we can’t get too used to the good weather as the storms are due to come and go all week, interspersed with periods of sunshine.
What’s more, there will be strong winds especially in coastal areas, at least at the beginning of the week. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is activating an orange weather warning for large waves in Cádiz and a yellow alert in Almeria, Granada and Malaga, while there are yellow warnings for wind gusts from Cádiz to Seville.
The wind has even caused two deaths in Almeria province this weekend, after a palm tree was blown over and fell onto a car and a motorcycle on the Avenida Cabo de Gata road in the provincial capital. A 60-year-old man driver and a 56-year-old man on the motorbike both passed away from their injuries, while a third was treated for minor head trauma.
Officials are warning everyone to be vigilant in the face of the extreme weather, and to exercise caution.
Andalucía weather during the week
Andalucía weather, Wednesday March 30
Up until Wednesday, Huelva can expect rain and the rest of Andalucía will be mostly sunny with scattered showers. On Wednesday, though, fortunes are reversed and Huelva will start to see more sun while thunderstorms will dominate the rest of the region. Despite this, temperatures will remain high, and even begin to creep up to maximums of 22ºC by the end of the week.
On Thursday the rain will begin to die down, and by Friday afternoon the whole of southern Spain will benefit from the sunshine, with just some light cloud covering.

Andalucía weekend weather
The good weather will continue into the weekend, though temperatures will actually drop to maximums of around 17ºC. By Sunday evening, the entire coastal area of Andalucía will be covered in dark clouds again, keeping the weather cool, though there is no further rainfall expected.
