Click HereThe path up to the Pico del Águila rock at the eastern end of the Bahía de Levante in Águilas is the logical end to a walk along the seafront, and provides attractive views back over the town centre, the castle and the beaches of this area.
The spot takes its name from the rock formation in which many people see a similarity to the beak of an eagle, although as far as we know there is no connection between this rock and the name of the town. The climb up to the viewing point is a gentle and easy one, and is reached by carrying on eastwards along the promenade past the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena and the Alfonso Escámez secondary school.
