The well-equipped Pinatar Arena joins Grand Hyatt La Manga Club, DoubleTree by Hilton at La Torre Golf and Alhama Arena to be sub-venues in the Region of Murcia for the 2030 World Cup

The Pinatar Arena located in San Pedro del Pinatar offers 7 natural grass football pitches. The main pitch has FIFA measurements (105 x 68), artificial lighting, capacity in the stands for 3,000 spectators, platforms for recording, press area, mixed zone and restricted and private access for players.
The facilities of the Football Centre have 7 changing rooms for the teams, equipped with the necessary material: stretchers, refrigerators for water, freezers for ice, air compressor and blackboard. In addition, 3 changing rooms have a cold pool for recovery and cryotherapy.
With numerous 5* and 4* hotels in easy reach the venue could prove very attractive to prospective teams.
After the 2026 World Cup to be hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, the 2030 World Cup will be jointly hosted by Spain, Morocco and Portugal. Spain will have eleven venues, Morocco six and Portugal three, complying with FIFA's regulations of presenting a maximum of 20 stadiums, the RFEF said in its announcement. “The stadiums that will host matches of the 2030 World Cup will be Anoeta (Donostia-San Sebastián), Camp Nou (Barcelona), Gran Canaria (Las Palmas), La Cartuja (Seville), La Rosaleda (Málaga), Metropolitano (Madrid), Nueva Romareda (Zaragoza), RCDE Stadium (Barcelona, Cornellá-El Prat), Riazor (A Coruña), San Mamés (Bilbao) and Santiago Bernabéu (Madrid).
Although RFEF has chosen the training camps, the venues will have to go through a direct evaluation process by FIFA and it is then up to the qualifying country’s football associations to select which venue it wishes to use.
