ARCHIVED - Pleasant temperatures with a chance of rain: Murcia weather forecast May 1-4
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
The thermometers will drop throughout the Region of Murcia before climbing again towards the end of the week
Murcia is often referred to as the oven of Spain, frequently experiencing record-breaking high temperatures that rival the likes of Egypt. But while the mercury remained high over the weekend the skies opened in an unexpected downpour that brought much of the area to a standstill.
Incredibly, on Saturday afternoon, Murcia city accumulated more rain than the entire Region has seen so far this year.
For the coming week, some light showers are likely, but nowhere near the levels seen over the weekend, and while the mercury will take a bit of a nosedive the temperatures will remain pleasantly warm.
The skies will be pretty overcast until around noon on Monday May 1, clearing briefly later in the day. There will be some light drizzle in the morning, but this will likely only amount to about 0.1 litres per square metre.
The temperatures will be very similar to Sunday, hitting a high of 31ºC and dropping to a very comfortable 15ºC at night. Light easterly winds will blow.
